Currently, there is one advanced Interventional Radiology (IR) Suite at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Located in the Medical Imaging department, this suite has seen a 38.5% increase in procedures over the past year due to new techniques and a backlog of non-urgent cases.
To meet the growing demand, the Chalmers Foundation is raising $1.7 million to build a second IR Suite next to the current one. The new suite will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a ceiling-suspended C-Arm, patient table, contrast injector, large imaging monitors, and an operator’s console, allowing for a variety of precise and effective procedures. Your support will help us enhance patient care and reduce wait times.
